Composers BureauAdrian Mann
Biography Currently Principal Bass and Staff Arranger/Composer with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Adrian studied Bass with Frederick Zimmermann, Sam Hollingsworth, and John Mathews. His harmony and theory teacher was Matthew Colucci at the New School of Music in Philadelphia, and he coached in composition with Seymour Barab and Randall Thompson. Adrian attended Peabody Conservatory and Catholic University, earning the Artist Diploma, Master of Music and DMA. He has performed with the Richmond Symphony, Orchestra International Iuventus in Italy, Bach Festival Orchestra in Bethlehem PA, and the Eastern Festival Orchestra and has taught at Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne and Oberlin College. Adrian is a member of ASCAP, and his compositions are published by G.I.A., Augsburg Fortress and Transcontinental Music, Inc. of New York. For 20 years Adrian was Director of Music and Liturgy at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hessen Cassel, Indiana. In 2004, together with his son Jonathan, he founded Basso Music Publications, dedicated to offering the finest available music for Bass and Cello Ensemble, as well as unique works for Bass and Orchestra and Bass in various chamber music combinations.
