Gay Holmes Spears
Biography
SAI Alumna Gay Holmes Spears holds degrees from University of Tennessee
at Martin, Arkansas State University, and the University of Memphis.
As the composer of numerous published and unpublished works for
various instruments and voices, she has earned several awards for
her compositions. These range from the "Tennessee Composer of the
Year Award," an Arkansas Arts Council Fellowship, and consecutive
ASCAP awards. Her works have been performed in many concerts throughout
the United States and Europe. Currently, Spears resides in Chesterfield,
Missouri, where she is a free-lance composer/keyboardist and full-time
mom.
