Halide K. Smith
Biography
Halide Kamay Smith is a composer of music for a variety of musical instruments from contemporary to classic. She is also an artist who paints in watercolor, oil, and acrylic.
As a child of Kazan Turk, Ms. Smith was born and raised in Korea and moved to Turkey at a young age. Ms. Smith is world traveled and has been influenced by many cultures which reflect in her unique and innovative music composition.
Ms. Smith studied piano from an early age with a German teacher in Korea. Once she moved to the United States, she attended the Northern Oklahoma College studying music and studied orchestration at the Oklahoma State University.
