David Diamond
David Diamond is a Rochester, NY resident. On Oct. 16,
2000, Gerard Schwarz is scheduled to lead the Juilliard
Orchestra in Diamond's 85th-birthday concert, at Avery
Fisher Hall, New York, NY.
Premieres
The Ying Quartet and Gilbert Kalish gave the first performances
of
Piano Quintet No. 2 at the Metropolitan Museum
and at Kilbourn Hall, in Rochester, NY.
Performances
Schwarz conducted Diamond's
Symphony No. 2 with
the American Composers Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, and
with the Rochester Philharmonic, Oct. 24 and 26, 1999.
