Daniel Moe
SAI National Arts Associate Daniel Moe, Emeritus Professor
of Choral Music at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music,
now resides in Sarasota, FL, where he works as conductor
and artistic director of the Key Chorale, the official
chorus of the Florida West Coast Symphony, and as composer
in residence at the Church of the Redeemer (Episcopal).
Premieres
Open for me the Gates of Righteousness, for SATB
choir, brass quartet, and organ, commissioned for the
Service of Recognition and Investiture of the Right Reverend
John Bailey Lipscomb as the Fourth Bishop of the Episcopal
Diocese of Southwestern Florida, premiered at the Cathedral
Curch of St. Peter, in St. Petersburg, with the composer
conducting, Sept. 27, 1997.
