James Drew
James Drew divides his time between the United States
and Europe.
Premieres
Bertram Turetzky soloed in the first performance of
Jacopo's
Sub-Harmonic Hymns, a concerto for bass viol and chamber
orchestra, in San Diego, CA, 1999. In Salt Lake City,
pianists Mary Gae George and Jennifer Fellows premiered
Kafka Music in 1999.
Performances
Drew's Nighttown Operatheatre produced the
Surprise
opera cycle at Amstel, 1998 in Amsterdam. In 1998-99,
the Nighttown Ensemble, directed by Drew, toured Belgium,
France, and Sweden with
Ghost Tour of the Lady Magicians.
