Annual American Composers Update


Martin Boykan

Martin Boykan holds the Irving Fine Professorship of Music at Brandeis Univ. On sabbatical this year, he is Visiting Professor of Composition at New York Univ. for spring 2000.

Premieres

In Nov. 1999, Sonata for Solo Violin was heard first with Dan Stepner at Brandeis Univ., and had its New York, NY premiere with Curt Macomber.

Performances

Piano Trio No. 2 was introduced in New York in May 1999. The first performance of Fantasy-Sonata occurred in Boston, Apr. 1999.
