Richard Lane
Richard Lane lives and works in Paterson, NJ, and spends
summers in Cape Cod, writing and accompanying singers
and instrumentalists.
Trossingen Serenade, for
oboe, viola d'amore, and piano, and
Sonata for Saxophone
will premiere in Germany in 2000.
Premieres
In Jan. 1999,
Dommage a Bach, for flute and string
quartet, premiered at the Harms Theater, in Englewood,
NJ.
What Joy to Sing, for TTBB choir, was sung
first by the Mendelssohn Glee Club, May 1999 in Albany,
NY.
Dedication, variations for violin, piano, trumpet,
and organ, was heard first Apr. 25 at St. John's Episcopal
Church in Ramsey, NJ.
Performances
A program at St. Paul's Church, Jan. 1999 in South Nyack,
NY, included
Carolina Variations, for two pianos.
On June 19, Boston station WGBH aired
Squibnocket Trio,
for clarinet, bassoon, and piano.
