Annual American Composers Update
Thom Ritter George
Thom Ritter George makes his home in Pocatello, ID. On
Oct. 3, 1998, he received the Excellence in the Arts award
at the annual state of Idaho Governor's Awards in the
Arts ceremony, held in Idaho Falls.
Performances
First Suite in F has had many performances including
two at the 52nd Annual Midwest Clinic, Dec. 1998 in Chicago,
IL, with Ray E. Cramer and Steven R. Hendricks, conductors;
one with the Brigham Young Univ. Band, led by Don Peterson;
and one with the Ricks Coll. Band, directed by Kendall
Neilsen, Apr. 16, 1999. Marcus Eley and Mark Neiwirth
played
Sonata for Clarinet and Piano at the Idaho/Montana
Clarinet Festival, held at Idaho State Univ., Oct. 2,
1998.
