Premieres

Julie Mandel's Recipes for Love, a three-song cycle for soprano, violin or flute, and piano, received its first performance Sept. 14, 2000, from Grace Anderson, flutist Jill Sokol, and Katie Frankel, at Queens (NY) College.

Performances

After the premiere, Recipes for Love was on a program at the Long Beach (NY) Library, with Janis S. Hills, violinist Herb Feldman, and Herb Rothgarber, Oct. 29, 2000. In 2000, the DaVinci Quartet played String Quartet No. 3 at Great Neck (NY) House, Mar. 5, and at Brooklyn (NY) College, Apr. 7. Accompanied by pianist Nancy Deutsch, soprano Mary Lou Shriber sang the nine-song cycle What Women Want at the Woodmere (NY) Library, July 11, 2000.
