Winner of the 2000 Delius Prize (Keyboard Category) from
Jacksonville (FL) University for
Dialogues for Two
Pianos, Robert Jager is in his last year as Director
of Composition and Theory at Tennessee Tech University;
he will retire in May 2001. Currently, he is working on
two new compositions for his retirement concerts in Apr.
2001:
Symphony No. 3 for Band, and
The Grandeur
of God (texts by Gerard Manley Hopkins), for children's
choir, adult choir, pipe organ and symphony orchestra.

Premieres
Jolly Good Tribute was heard first with the Karns
High School Band, in Knoxville, TN, with James Rector,
conductor, May 2000.
Performances
In May 2000,
Dialogues for Two Pianos was performed
by Elizabeth Kiebler and Joy McCumber at Jacksonville
(FL) University. In The Netherlands, between Oct. 2000
and Mar. 2001, the Royal Dutch Army Band has scheduled
three performance of
Concerto for Bass Tuba and Band.
