Charles Fitts' String Quartet No. 3 (Hearts Celestial) was heard first with the Harrington String Quartet and soprano Leigh Shipman at the International Festival Instate, in Round Top, TX. The National Flute Association convention in Dallas, TX, included the premiere of Birds Imitating Flutists, with flutist Debrah Ragsdale and pianist Eugene Rowley.

Performances

In Mexico City, Mexico, Juan Carlos Lomónoco directed the Carlos Chávez Symphony Orchestra in Chisos Ephiphany, a tone poem for orchestra.
