Stephen Yarbrough's With the Voice of Joy and
Praise is scheduled for an upcoming performance
by the Tennessee All-State Orchestra conducted by
William LaRue Jones. Yarbrough recently completed
JoyDance, for symphonic band, and Inaugural
Fanfare, for orchestra.
Premieres
On March 3-4, 2001, Henry Charles Smith led the South
Dakota Symphony in the premiere of The Plains -
Portraits of a Landscape.
Performances
The Greater Dallas Youth Symphony scheduled a fall
performance of Alleluias for Orchestra, conducted
by Richard Gianguilio. Accompanied by Jason Dobney,
Ken Oakley sang Three Psalms for Tenor and Piano,
April 29, 2001. Jones led the Minnesota All-State
Orchestra in With the Voice of Joy and Praise,
August 11, 2001.
