The 2003 American Composers Updateas published in PAN PIPES, Volume 95, Number 2 Arthur BergerWGBH celebrated Arthur Berger's 90th birthday on May 15, 2002, with a full hour radio broadcast of Berger's music.In October 2002, Geoffrey Burleson gave an all-Berger piano music recital at Brandeis University in Waltham MA. Many more concerts featuring Berger's music have been scheduled for the 2002-03 season. Also planned is the release of a CD of Berger's piano music performed by Burleson on the Centaur label, and publication by C. F. Peters Corp. of Three One-Part Inventions, for piano. Quartet for Winds was on a Minnesota Orchestra Chamber Music Series program, May 2, 2002, at the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts. The Zamir Chorale sang Tov L'Hodos at Jordan Hall, in Boston MA, June 9, 2002. At the Moiseivitsch Series of the Music Festival of the Hamptons in Bridgehampton NY, pianist Lawrence Gingold performed Birthday Cards, July 15, 2002.
