Premieres

SAI National Arts Associate Allan Blank's Five for Three, was premiered by the Chamber Players of Virginia Commonwealth University, with Philip Teachey, oboe; Charles West, clarinet; and Bruce Hammel, bassoon, March 6, 2002, in Richmond, VA.  A North American Saxophone Alliance program, < Year="2002" Day="6" Month="3">March 6, 2002, featured the first performance of A Miscellany for Two Alto Saxophones, with Dusty Dowdy and Ed Fraedrich, at the University of North Texas, in Denton.  Under the baton of Alfred Gershfeld, the Lake Placid (NY) Sinfonietta presented Three Tableaux for Small Orchestra, August 4 and 8, 2002.


Performances

Jamie Wehr played Four Comments for Solo Bass Trombone at Seminole Community College in Sanford, FL, February 5, 2002.


Publication

A Miscellany for Two Alto Saxophones; Lines for Solo Contrabassoon; both by Roncorp Publications, fall 2002.
