Premieres

As part of her July 2002 Celestial Railroad Tour in Amsterdam, Bologna, Rome, Salerno, Reggio Calabria, New York, and Denver, Australian-based American pianist Donna Coleman, who commissioned the work, gave the first performances of Edmund Cionek's Veni Creator Spiritus Boogie. Peace Is Always Beautiful (text by Walt Whitman) was commissioned and premiered by the West Chester (PA) University Women's Choir, Jane Wyss, conductor, November 2002.  The a cappella vocal group The Accidentals presented Magnum Mysterium, for SATB choir, in New York, December 2002.


Performances

As part of the September 11 memorial concert at St. John The Divine Cathedral in New York, The Accidentals sang Agnus DeiMis Flores Negras, for woodwind quintet, was performed by the Quintet of the Americas at the Americas Society in New York, June 2002.
