On April 30, the Avalon String Quartet presented Sun Threads in Alice Tully Hall, New York, NY. Silver Chants the Litanies, in memorium Luciano Berio, for solo horn and chamber orchestra, was commissioned by Southern Methodist University and is scheduled to premiered February 21, 2004, in a performance conducted by Jack Delaney. Another orchestral piece, Tangle, will be premiered March 17-19 by the Chicago (IL) Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of David Robertson. PerformancesSpirit Musings for violin and orchestra was presented in concert July 18, 2003, at the Tanglewood Music Festival. Marin Alsop conducted a Cabrillo Festival performance of Prayer Bells for orchestra, August 10. In My Sky at Twilight, for soprano and orchestra, was heard January 23, 2004 by the London Sinfonietta, under the direction of Oliver Knussen, Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, England.
