With the composer at the piano, baritone Christopher Nomura performed Four Songs of Transcendence at St. Paul's School, Concord, NH, on February 21, 2003. The piano work Las Meninas: Variations was performed by Rainer Gepp, in Hamm, Germany, on July 11; in Eitorf, Germany, on November 7; and in Siegburg, Germany, on November 8. The Quartetto Sereno performed The Walrus and the Carpenter and Ritornello in Eitorf on November 7. Song of Witness was presented by Nomura, the Gainsborough Trio, and the composer on December 4 at Trinity Church, New York, NY.
