Eugénie R. Rocherolle

Eugénie R. Rocherolle presented Trois Preludes for piano solo on the Warner Brothers Publishers Showcase, March 17, 2003, at the Music Teachers National Association Convention, Salt Lake City, UT. On March 19, Rocherolle was a guest panelist for "The Anatomy of an Ideal Teaching Piece," at the MTNA Convention. Rocherolle was an honoree for "Women in the Arts," September 20, Westfield Court, Stamford, CT. She was also a guest composer and clinician at the école de Muscique Vincent D'Indy, Montreal, Canada, on September 28. Her website is located at www.rocherolle.com

Premieres

Variations on Red River Valley, a commissioned work for one piano, four hands, was introduced July 11, 2003, by Sheila Converse and Linda Maranis, Fargo (ND) Theater. Lord Sweet Lord (SATB and piano), was written for and premiered during the September 21 50th anniversary Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Wilton, CT.

Performances

Recent performances include Sonatina Americana, flute, violin, and cello, March 15, 2003, Westport (CT) Arts Center; Blues Concerto for two pianos, April 6, Silvermine Duo Pianists, "Stone Manse," Norwalk, CT; and The Way We Danced, April 27, Darien Duo Piano Group, Darien (CT) Community Center.
