Faye-Ellen Silverman

Faye-Ellen Silverman, currently working in New York City, recently received a Standard Award from ASCAP. She has also been commissioned by Larry Madison to compose a work for chorus and orchestra based on a Biblical text.

Premieres

Alternating Currents for bass trombone and piano (2003), was commissioned and introduced by Thomas Matta, on April 21, 2003, in Chicago, IL. The work Meetings, for two euphoniums and two tubas, was commissioned by the International Women's Brass Conference and premiered by Junction, June 19, 2003, Normal, IL.

Performances

Troubled Repose, for flute, viola, and double bass, was presented November 15, 2002, by the Del Mar Chamber Players, Santa Rosa, CA. From Sorrow, for trumpet, horn, and bass trombone, was heard in a March 31, 2003, concert by the Areopagitica Brass Trio, New York, NY.
