In June 2003, SAI Friend of the Arts Wallace De Pue was notified of his 18th consecutive ASCAP award for music composition.

Premieres

Eight Textures of Love, a song cycle for baritone voice, was first heard in concert, with baritone Andrew White and pianist Eric Charnofsky, at the Epworth-Euclid United Methodist Church, Cleveland, OH, April 6, 2003. On July 5, James C. Hagberg conducted the premiere of The Fiddler's Fare, for orchestra and fiddler, at Clapper Park, Batavia, OH.

Performances

We Are One (written in memory of 9-11) was heard in a performance conducted by William P. Schwepe at St. Wendelin Church, Fosteria, OH, April 11, 2003. A Poem, for soprano and piano, was presented by Alberta Jean Reed at Manor House, Stanahan Park, Toledo, OH on April 22.
