William Mac Davis

William Mac Davis received an ASCAP Standard Awards Panel Award for 2003. His article on instrumental music in worship, titled "With the Sound of the Trumpet," is scheduled for publication in the February 2004 issue of The Chorister.

Premieres

Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing was introduced by the Southcliff Baptist Church Orchestra of Forth Worth, TX, in a March 15, 2003, performance conducted by the composer. The composer also conducted the New Sound Brass in a presentation of The Cross and the Lyre in Fort Worth on November 20.

Performances

Performances heard in Fort Worth in 2003 included: Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing, Southwestern Chapel Orchestra, conducted by the composer, April 15; Festival Fanfare on 'Foundation,' New Sound Brass, conducted by the composer, April 15, 22, and May 10; and Ceremonial Piece on 'Cwm Rhondda,' New Sound Brass, conducted by the composer, September 23.
