Hoelbloom and the composer discussed various recordings of Jordan’s choral and vocal works. PremieresAmerican Suite for violin and piano, commissioned in honor of Elizabeth Wilson’s life by the Elizabeth Wilson Foundation, was premiered December 5, 2004 by violinist Lyuan Sun and pianist Marilyn Mason, at the Tecumseh (MI) Civic Auditorium. PerformancesSuite on Foundation: Jubilee, Reverie and Fantasy-Toccata was performed by organist Randy Woods, February 8, 2004, at the Village Church, Naples, FL. A February 27 recital at Kirkpatrick Chapel, Rutgers University, closed with mezzo-soprano Susan McAdoo and pianist Brenda Day performing Take Joy Home (text Jean Ingelow). Aria for Oboe and Organ was performed March 28 at an Ecumenical Service for Peace at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, Des Moines, IA, by Susan Beach and Robert M. Speed. Dr. Earline Moulder, professor of organ at Drury College, Springfield, MO, closed two programs on her Chilean tour with the arrangements Children of the Heavenly Father (on Day by Day) and Jubilation (on Lauda Anima): August 1, Lutheran Church of Puetro Montt, and August 8, Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Organist Lois Harms played two settings of Fairest Lord Jesus (Schonster Herr Jesu and St. Elizabeth) on September 20, Central Iowa Chapter American Guild of Organists Meeting, Central Presbyterian Church, Des Moines, IA.
