Faye-Ellen Silverman

Faye-Ellen Silverman, who lives and works in New York City, has been commissioned by Philip A. DeSimone to compose a work for violin and cello. Silverman received the ASCAP Standard Award in 2004.

Premieres

Of Wood and Skins was introduced by percussionists Chris Nappi and Tom Kolor on January 31, 2004, in New York, NY. Taming the Furies was first presented by flutist Mary Barto on February 15, in New York, NY.

Performances

Pas de Deux, for marimba and piano, was performed by Douglas Ovens and Max Lifshitz on March 20, 2004, at the CMS Northeast Chapter regional meeting, in Easton, PA. First Position, for trombone and marimba, was presented by Haim Avitsur and Greg Giannascoli on March 23 in New York, NY.
