The 2005 American Composers Updateas published in PAN PIPES, Volume 97, Number 2 John H. BeckJohn H. Beck spent a good part of 2004 as a special percussion instructor around the world. January 1-9 he worked with the percussion section of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra in Seville, Spain. He was part of a percussion teaching exchange March 8-14, with the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England, while March 18-25 he worked with the Neo Percussion Group in Madrid, Spain. Beck spent July 26-August 1 teaching and performing at the KoSA International Percussion Festival and Workshops at Castleton (VT) State College. August 10-16 found Beck teaching and performing at the International Groznjan (Croatia) Jeunesses Musicales; he also taught and performed at the VI International Percussion Forum, Zagan, Poland, August 19-28.
