The 2005 American Composers Updateas published in PAN PIPES, Volume 97, Number 2 Michael KurekAn excerpt of Michael Kurek’s Fairy Dreams (Concertino for Celesta and Orchestra) was broadcast on NPR’s “Morning Edition” in a story about the celesta. Michael Kurek served in 2004 on a national committee of NARAS in Los Angeles, which administers the Grammy Awards. Pas de deux was introduced November 5-6, 2004, by the Nashville (TN) Ballet. PerformancesThat Which Remains Unspoken was performed in March 2004 by the Jackson (TN) Symphony Orchestra.
