Premieres

Five Songs from Carl Sandburg’s “Prairie” were presented March 6, 2004, by soprano Emily Truckenbrod and pianist Amy I-Lin Cheng at the Society of Composers National Conference, University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond. Second Thoughts was introduced March 23 by soprano saxophonist Stephen Duke and clarinetist Gregory Barrett, at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb. Cellist Elizabeth Morrow performed Ma mère on November 13, for the Society of Composers Region IV Conference, Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC.

Performances

Five Songs from Carl Sandburg’s “Prairie” was presented January 29, 2004, by soprano Julia Lansford and pianist J.D. Kelley, for the Society of Composers Region VI Conference, Arkansas State University and on March 23 by soprano Diane Ragains and pianist William Koehler at Northern Illinois University. Quintet for flute, violin, cello, piano, and vibraphone, was presented February 21 at New Music Alberta, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. Expanse, electronic music for multiple, mobile CD players, was heard June 6 at the third Rencontres Musiques Nouvelles, in Lunel, France.
