“I received a commission from flutist Timothy Friedlander to make a transcription of my work Jubilee for flute choir. I was also asked to compose a piece for flute and piano that will be premiered in the summer of 2005.”

Premieres

Dazzling Jewels received its premiere November 6, 2004, from soprano Annette Anderson and pianist Ruth Norman at Strathmore Hall, Rockville, MD.

Performances

Organist Steven Honley performed Soundings on February 13, 2004, at the Sumner School Museum in Washington, DC. A performance of the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, featuring pianist Mary Kathryn Traver and the FMMC Orchestra under the direction of Sylvia Alimena, was broadcast over 61 National Public Radio Stations in 20 states on May 9.
