The 2006 American Composers Updateas published in PAN PIPES, Volume 98, Number 2 Doris Gazda* Composer Doris Gazda was a clinician at the December 2003 Midwest International Band Festival. She also conducted the Oregon All-State Junior Orchestra in January 2005 and the Yuma (AZ) String Festival in April 2005. During 2005, she served as clinician for the Texas Orchestra Directors Association (TODA), the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, the Virginia Music Educators Association, and the Illinois Music Educators Association. Her article, “Music Making: The Dance of Life,” was published in the August 2005 issue of American String Teacher (page 56). Gazda was awarded the William E.
