The 2006 American Composers Updateas published in PAN PIPES, Volume 98, Number 2 H. Leslie Adams H. Leslie Adams spent the first eight months of 2005 working on a new score, which was completed in August. The work, titled Slaves, is a drama with music for three characters in one act and nine scenes. The book and lyrics for Slaves are by Sidney Goldberg; Adams’ score includes an overture, thirteen songs, under-dialogue cues, and final bows/exit music.
