Jerry Casey*

A feature of the April 1, 2006, program for SAI Sigma B Province Day in Ohio will be a reading of the chamber and vocal music of Jerry Casey by the musicians present at the event.

Premieres

Ev’ry Tree in the Forest Is Singing for SB with piano was premiered by the Church Choir of Worthington (OH) Baptist Church in May, 2005. In All the World There’s Only One Name for soprano and piano was premiered by the composer, with Elaine Clark at the piano, at a Women in Music - Columbus (OH) event on October 20; the composer also performed “Life and Love” from her Three Love Songs based on poetry of Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

Performances

Ev’ry Tree in the Forest Is Singing was performed by the Church Choir of St. John’s Lutheran Church in London, OH, on September 11, 2005; the choir also performed several of the composers Christmas anthems in December. Bethlehem, Oh, Bethlehem, for soprano and piano, was performed in December by the composer, North Naples Baptist Church, Naples, FL.
