Leslie Bassett

After spending most of his career at the University of Michigan, composer Leslie Bassett has moved to 5433 Ashmoore Lane, Flowery Branch, GA 30542.

Premieres

Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken, for choir and organ, was premiered in 2005 by the First United Methodist Church Choir of Ann Arbor (MI), under the direction of Braxton Blake with organist Naki Kripfgans.

Recordings

Clarinetist Robert Spring’s latest CD, Black Dog, features Bassett’s “Fantasy for Clarinet and Wind Ensemble;” Arizona State University Wind Ensemble conducted by Gary Hill; Summit Records DCD412.
