as published in PAN PIPES, Volume 98, Number 2

Lori Laitman****

Lori Laitman writes: “In February 2005 I presented a concert of my music on ‘The Banners Series’ at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. The local SAI chapter presented a lovely reception afterwards. In May 2005, I was the keynote speaker and Composer-in-Residence at the Athena Festival in Murray, Kentucky. In May 2006, along with composer Richard Hundley, I will represent the United States in the Songs Across the Americas Festival in Conway, AR. Dr. Carol Lines has written an article on my music, which has been accepted by The Journal of Singing. John Clare’s radio show, ‘20-20 Hearing,’ was devoted to my music. First broadcast in March 2005, it was rebroadcast in September 2005. For more information, please visit www.classicallyhip.com/2020.html. On May 22, 2005, I was made an Honorary Member of SAI by the Washington, DC Alumnae Chapter.” For more information, please visit: www.artsongs.com.
