The 2006 American Composers Updateas published in PAN PIPES, Volume 98, Number 2 Robert Jager Robert Jager became certified as a Master Gardener in the State of Tennessee in May 2005. Premieres Benediction for chorus and organ was introduced in a performance conducted by the composer on May 18, 2005, Algood (TN) United Methodist Church. Clarinetist Garry Evans premiered Aphorisms for clarinet and piano in a fall 2005 recital at the University of North Texas, Denton. Performances The Wheaton (IL) Concert Band, under the direction of Colonel Timothy Foley, USMC-Ret, performed Esprit de Corps on June 9, 2005. Lord, Guard and Guide was heard in a September performance by the Canadian Air Com Band, led by Sgt. Benoit Parent, Winnipeg, Canada. Joseph Hermann led the Tennessee Tech University Wind Ensemble in an October 13 performance of Variations on a Theme by Robert Schumann, Cookeville, TN. Esprit de Corps, Third Suite for Band, and Epilogue: Lest We Forget were presented in concert February 7, 2006, by the Henderson State University Symphony Band, conducted by the composer, Arkadelphia, AR. Like a White Daisy Looks is scheduled for performances March 18-19, 2006, by the Adrian (MI) Symphony Orchestra, John Dodson, conducting. Publications Highland Fling, concert band; Hal Leonard.
