John Anthony Lennon

John Anthony Lennon was the 2006 Featured Composer for State of the Arts on WGBH Boston. He was resident composer at the Fundacion Valpariso in Spain during April and was guest composer at the University of Georgia in September. His works were broadcast internationally in Sweden, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Canada, the Netherlands, and he was the recipient of a commission from the Margo Foundation for a quartet consisting of alto saxophone, violin, cello, and piano.You are invited to visit the composer’s Web site at: www.johnanthonylennon.com.

Misericordia for organ was introduced at Emory University, Atlanta, GA, during October 2006.

Performances

Performances in April 2005 included recitals given at the Rhinebeck Chamber Music Society, NY; Emory University, Atlanta, GA; and Greenwich House, NY.
