Joyce Grill*

Joyce Grill was honored as a Foundation Fellow at the Music Teachers National Association Convention (MTNA), March 25-29, 2006, in Austin, TX. She presented new music reviews throughout the mid-west in August and was a guest clinician for many piano teacher groups in the summer and fall.

Premieres

The piano suite Minnesota Moments was premiered by the composer in August 2006 at the Schmitt Expo in Minneapolis, MN. The composer introduced another piano suite, Snapshots of Wisconsin, at the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association State Convention, which was held October 20-21 in La Crosse, WI.

Performances

The piano duets Sparkling Waters and Sparklers, as conducted by the composer, were performed as part of a multi-piano session at the March 2006 MTNA National Convention in Austin, TX. The composer also performed many of her compositions at the Schmitt Expo in Minneapolis in August.
