Performances

Members of the Birmingham (AL) Art Music Alliance performed Hymns to the Night at the First Unitarian Church in Birmingham (with narrator Kurt Carpenter, violinist Alex Volobuev, cellist Craig Hultgren, and pianist Ellen Tweiten). Soprano Jeanie Darnell and pianist Norman Boem performed Song of the Silver Pine at the “Songs Across the Americas Festival” at the University of Central Arkansas, Conway. Jackie Lamar, saxophone, and Karen Griebling, viola, performed Three Country Caprices at the World Saxophone Conference in Ljubjana, Slovenia. The SAI Wind Ensemble, directed by Michael Braz, presented Prelude in C at the July 2006 Sigma Alpha Iota National Convention in Orlando. Soprano Victoria Wefer and pianist Carmela Sinco performed To Dream Again on the “Town & Gown Series” at Jersey City (NJ) College.

Publications

Boston’s Row Twelve Ensemble included “Poem,” for flute, violin and piano, on its CD Crossroads, released in 2006. “Portrait of Chopin” from Boury’s CD Migration was used in the film Trilogy by artist Warren Criswell.
