Alan Shulman

Alan Shulman received the Eva Janzer Memorial Cello Center of Indiana University special award, "Chevalier du Violoncelle," Sept. 14, 1997, for "achievements and contributions to the world of cello playing."

Performances

On Sept. 21, 1997, the Long Island Philharmonic, under David Lockington, performed A Laurentian Overture at C. W. Post College, Greenvale, NY. Led by music director Luis Garcia-Renart, the Woodstock Chamber Orchestra played Theme and Variations at Bard College, Nov. 5, 1997.
