Annual American Composers Update

Dennis Kam

Dennis Kam lives in Miami, FL, where he works at the University of Miami School of Music. He has commissions from the South Florida Youth Symphony for a glass harmonica and orchestra composition, and from Bill Wallach and Gary Buttery for a mandolin and tuba work.

Premieres

On Apr. 4, 1997, Margaret Donaghue, Kristin Girard, and Kam introduced Vermillion Lines, Version C, for two clarinets and piano, at the University of Miami.

Performances

The Naples (FL) Philharmonic, under Thomas Sleeper, played Music for Celebration, May 6-8, 1997.
