Annual American Composers Update
Elizabeth Lauer
Elizabeth Lauer is a resident of Wilton,
CT. On July 15, 1997, Margaret Mills and Joel Hupper
premiered her arrangement of Debussy's Pour invoquer
Pan, Dieu du vent d'été for flute and piano, at
a New Canaan (CT) St. Mark's Courtyard Concert. She
currently is a program annotator for the South Shore
Music, Inc. concert series, and a reviewer for Women
of Note Quarterly.

Rag at a St. Mark's Courtyard concert, July 8, 1997.
On July 7, 1997, pianist Margaret Mills performed the
same work aboard the Sea Cloud, touring the Aegean Sea.
In 1997 the composer presented Six Haiku, for
speaker and piano, at the Greenwich (CT) Arts Center
for Penwomen (Nov. 6) and in South Salem, NY (Nov. 30).
An all-Spanish program at Westfield Court, in Stamford,
CT, included Lauer in Colombina Linda, Jan. 18,
1998.
