Joseph Willcox Jenkins lives in Pittsburgh, PA, where he holds a faculty position at the Duquesne University Music School.

Premieres

At the Benedum Theatre, in Pittsburgh, Six American Folk Tunes, Op. 185, premiered with the Children's Festival Chorus, under Christine Jordanov, and the River City Brass, under Denis Colwell, Oct. 18, 1997. The Ben Avon (PA) Presbyterian Church Choir, conducted by Guy Russo, introduced Etz Chayim, Op. 186, Apr. 16, 1997. On Dec. 7, 1997, Musica Dolce, led by Joseph Ceo, presented Six Carols for Westerly, Op. 183, in Westerly, RI.
