Philip Hagemann
Philip Hagemann, a New York, NY resident,
conducts the Rockland (NY) County Choral Society. His
A Dark and Stormy Night was one of three finalists
in the National Opera Association's chamber opera competition.
Performances
In 1997 Hagemann's one-act opera The
King Who Saved Himself From Being Saved had performances
at the National Opera Association (NOA) American Opera
Sampler, held at the Manhattan School of Music (Feb.);
and at Wagner College, Staten Island, NY (May). Excerpts
from the opera were heard at the NOA annual convention
in Dallas, January 1997.
