Annual American Composers Update
Elizabeth Ruth Beeson
Elizabeth Ruth Beeson works out of her Houston home and
at several schools and churches in the area. This year,
she played piano for a choral workshop in Cat Spring,
TX. In Houston she accompanied theatrical productions
Godspell, at Terrace United Methodist Church;
You're
a Good Man, Charlie Brown, at St. Francis Episcopal
School; and a Broadway variety show at St. Philip's United
Methodist Church (June 28. 1998). Other 1998 piano performances
in Houston occurred at a St. Francis Episcopal Church
retreat, at Memorial City Mall, on KRIV-TV (FOX) television,
and at the Treemont Retirement Home.
Performances
On Sept. 28, 1997 at Houston's Inwood Baptist Church,
Beeson presented her piano works
Sweet Little Angel
Wings, Jazzy Tap, and
The Seventh Trumpet.
On Feb. 2, 1998, at St. Francis Episcopal School, she
played
The Bear, for piano. She was also the pianist
for a performance of
The Bold Chevalier at Houston's
Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, Feb. 4, 1998.
