James Drew
James Drew divides his time between the United States
and Holland.
Premieres
Bertram Turetzky introduced the monodrama
Cantolobosolo
in San Diego, 1998. In 1998, pianists Drew and Mary Gae
George presented
Submerged Choirs in Salt Lake
City. In 1999, Karen Elaine is scheduled to solo in the
first performance of
Viola Concert (Cellar-Lise's Alleluias),
in Chicago; and Drew, George, and the Golub Quartet will
premiere
Hypothetical Structures, Book Three in
Miami.
Performances
Drew and George performed
Hypothetical Structures,
Book One in Dallas and Waco in 1998. Soprano Nina
Bleq sang
Lute in the Attic in Brussels in 1998.
Also in 1998, Quatro Hsai presented
Book of Lights
in Paris. Works to be heard in Amsterdam, Holland included
Almost Stationary, with the Nova Chambre Ensemble
(1998); and
Blue in Atlantis, at the MTT Theatre
on Amstel (1999).
