University Professor at Ouachita University, in Arkadelphia,
AR.
Premieres
For the U.S. Marine Band's 200th anniversary,
the band premiered When Honor WHISPERS AND SHOUTS,
July 11, 1998 at the Kennedy Center.
Performances
After the premiere, When Honor
WHISPERS AND SHOUTS was heard again with the Little
Rock (AR) Wind Symphony. In Apr. 1998 in Storrs, CT,
the University of Connecticut Wind Ensemble performed
Of Sailors and Whales, and the University of
Connecticut Symphonic Band played Through Countless
Halls of Air. At a Slippery Rock, PA program,
the Musicians Concert Band gave a performance of Lauds
and Tropes. The Arkansas Bandmasters Convention,
held July 1998 in Fort Smith, AR, included Wine
from these Grapes, with the Dallas Wind Symphony.
All performances were conducted by the composer.
